Well I picked up my malaria medicine! It is called Larium, and I only have to take it once a week. I took my first yesterday and every Wednesday for 8 weeks.

I also picked up some Emodium, and some stuff to rehydrate after Delhi Belly!

The other decisions on what to take have been hard, I have just decided to knock down the size of the backpack by about 20 L, so now I am taking a 45L backpack which should be much easier.

Sleeping bag or no sleeping bag? Well I have decided against taking a sleeping bag, they are bulky and it is really hot in most of the places I will be going. If I end up going on a trek then I might hire one or something, not really sure, but I thought carrying something around that would be the biggest thing by far with no use for four weeks out of five would be a waste.

Clothes, I am going to cut down a lot on what I initially thought I would be taking, and go minimalist. I guess I will find out whether these decisions are good or bad pretty soon!

My main advice has come from two of my brothers who have been extensively through Asia. the main problem there is that India is so big, so you go from very tropical to quite mountainous.

Haircuts - well I shaved my head last night for the first time ever and I love it.

Anyway closer to  leaving so happy about that.

Well I have now picked up my tickets! I have to carry paper tickets around, not sure why this is the first time in a long time that I have had to do this. In one way it is exciting that I have something to hold and one step closer to going. India here I come!

Well last night I received all my injections, two to be exact, not totally sure what they were for but apparently I needed them.

I also need to pick up some scripts, one for Malaria and one for infections if I get any. Also going to pick up some emodium because I think it is inevitable that I will loose some weight the hard way.

Well after talking to Priya, her sister is getting married on the 24th of Jan. The Wedding will be near a town called Erode which should be very exciting.

I will be landing at 11:45pm on the 19th of Jan in Bangalore. On the 20th I will be catching a train to Mysore This is Priya's parents town. From here we will travel to Coimbatore then to Erode!

This will be very exciting apparently there will be around 2000 people going to the wedding which should be pretty full on.

• I don't really know anything about India apart from they love cricket
• I know two city names being Bangalore and Delhi (learning more all the time)
• Everyone i have spoken to about India loved it
• I have been invited to an Indian wedding by a girl from work
• I fly out of Sydney on the 19th of Jan into Bangalore, landing at 11:45 PM
• I fly back to Sydney on the 23rd of Feb!

I will work out the rest later but i am sure it will be great!
